A couple of days ago, I scrambled 4 eggs, of which I was pretty sure Jubilee ate the equivalent of 3. Yesterday, she finished the leftovers. Today, Jubilee wanted sunny side up, so I made two. She ate it all, then asked for a fried egg. (I don’t think she knows what a fried egg is, but whatever.) So I cooked a fried egg, aka over easy, and she ate that entire egg too.
3 eggs in one sitting. 7 over 3 days. That’s a lot of egg.
We don’t have much of a bedtime routine with Jubilee, but one of the constants is that she gets a drink of water last thing before climbing into bed. Tonight, David turned off the bedroom light before handing her the cup and straw. The hall light was on so we could all see perfectly. Not according to Jubilee.
“I can’t see!” she protests. Lately, she’s been asking for the light on, but we’re convinced it’s so she can stay up to play.
“You can see fine,” we tell her.
Then, with eyes wide open as if to say “See!”, Jubilee brings the cup and straw to her cheek, therefore missing her mouth and proving her point.
Before I went to bed last night, I checked in on Jubilee to see if she needed a blanket. Didn’t have to, because the blanket was on her.
But I didn’t put one on her at bedtime.
And her bedroom light is on.
Huh?
Apparently, Jubilee turned on the light, possibly played some (no real evidence), then climbed into bed, layed the blanket on her all by herself, and went to sleep.
Tonight Jubilee helped me empty the dishwasher. I stood her in front of the silverware drawer with the dishwasher basket. Pau-Pau had taught her how to do this at her house. So she needed very little instruction to complete this chore- correctly too, and without supervision! She was almost finished…when I heard her sneeze!

Jubilee was given some dress-up clothes by a friend and she had a lot of fun playing dress-up for the first time. Here is a precious photo of her as a princess today. (Click image for larger version.)
While we enjoy Jubilee’s attraction to all things princess, we very much want to teach all of our daughters the admirable and noble attributes of a princess. A princess is not a self-centered diva. Rather, a true princess reflects the character of Jesus, her King.
“Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners–of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.” 1 Timothy 1:15-17
Michelle left early this morning. She did a wonderful job helping our family. She fed Angelina and Madeleine, changed their clothes and diapers, got spit up on a thousand times, played the same games with Jubilee over and over again, read books to Jubilee, put up with her tantrums, helped do the dishes and laundry, and kept up with her studies.
As an added bonus, I got to tutor her in math. Loved seeing Algebra again!
We will miss you dearly, Michelle! We needed full time help and you were an answer to prayer!
Jubilee decorated the small Christmas trees… can you tell?

Today was the first time I went out with Angelina and Madeleine all by myself. They had their monthly RSV shots. It went well: parking, opening the trunk, pulling out the stroller, opening one door, pulling out one baby, opening the other door, pulling out the other baby. When I can take out all three girls by myself will be another milestone.
Don’t correct me to say there are five S’s, as I’m not referring to the 5 ways to help a baby go to sleep (shushing, swaddling, etc.) My 3 S’s are how to describe our babies:
Smiles
Spit-up
Screaming
Oh, there’s so many more ways to describe our beautiful babies, but I can’t think of any more S’s right now.
Jubilee:
Jingle Bells
Jingle Bells
Jingle aw the way
Oh what fun is Mister Rice
In one horse open sway
Hey!
Angela: Do you know the rest of it? “Dashing through the snow…”
Jubilee: Daphne through the snow…
