More than once, someone has asked Jubilee, “Is your Mommy going to have a baby?” Jubilee will hold up two fingers and correct them, “Two babies!” Each time the person would turn to me for verification. “Yes,” I’ll smile and confirm, “two babies!”

Jubilee is really into location. Someone must’ve been talking to her about where family lives because one day, she and I were driving and she points out, “Mommy and Ba-Ba live in San Jose. Ba-Ba works in San Jose. Pau-Pau and Gaun-Gaun live in Los Gatos.”
We taught her more relatives, so now she says (on a good day), “Grammy lives in El Dorado Hills. Auntie Andrea and Uncle Trozak live in Los Angeles. Uncle Scot and Auntie Cyrena live in Los Angeles.”
Today was a rare occasion for me. A few Biola friends got together for a tea luncheon at Lisa’s Tea Treasures. No kids! We talked for two hours! And this doesn’t include the time before and after lunch. I was away from Jubilee for 5 hours.
When I returned home, and after the baby-sitter left, Jubilee said to me, “I lost you.”
Today we purchased a toddler bed. Jubilee was so excited. When we got to the seller’s house, she ran to the bed and began jumping on it like it was hers. As the previous owner and David began to move the bed into the truck, she asked, “Where’s my bed going?”
Today we attended an informational meeting hosted by Gemini Crickets, a local twin club. Jubilee played with other children her age while we listened to a Q&A session. Everyone seemed very nice, so we’re excited to join them!
This week I met with a friend of a friend. She has a toddler and younger twins, so I wanted to meet her and learn from her. At the twins’ lunch time, Jubilee wanted to help feed the babies.
Furthermore, I was sitting with one of the babies on the bed. Jubilee climbed onto the bed. In a sing-songy voice, she cooed “Hi Baby. Here’s your toy, Baby.” She was incredibly gentle. It warmed my heart and gave me a glimpse of Jubilee as a nurturer.
